Hope in Bread?

Some of you may find comfort in eating a piece of bread, lol. Oh the wonderful carbs. Honestly, depending on the type of bread, I could eat bread until I explode! I’d regret it later, but it’s SO GOOD! Well, as you can imagine, I’m not talking about garlic bread, french bread, or any kind of physical bread. I’m referring to the bread of life. The word of God. You may say, “Yeah, I know”, but do we really? Do we know how much hope and life we have in the word of God? When’s the last time you searched for encouraging scriptures and read them? Here, let me give you some encouraging scriptures. Read them and then read them out loud.
I Peter 5:10 – And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.
Isaiah 40:31 – but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
Phillipians 1:6 – being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
Romans 5:5 – And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.
Romans 15:13 – May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
How do feel? Do you feel encouraged? I do. Just writing this, my spirit is encouraged. I find hope in the living word of God. I find hope in the living bread. And these scriptures don’t even scratch the surface of the encouragement scripture holds.
Do you find yourself discouraged? Hopeless? Do a google search of encouraging scriptures and see what comes up. It’s so easy to find the scriptures you need. Read the bible. Take time to eat from the living bread. And you will not be hungry anymore.
Honestly though … I could go for some garlic bread ;-).
