Everything is working for good?

No matter what things are going on in your life, if you are God’s child, everything is working together for your good.  We may not be able to see it, but according to God’s word, it is.  I don’t know what life’s troubles are going on with you.  Did you lose a job?  Did you lose somebody close to you?  Are your finances tight?  Going through divorce?  Or are you facing depression, a feeling of doubt, worry or frustration?  Whatever it is you’re going through, God is at work.  None of what you’re facing is a surprise.  Through the good and the bad, God will take your situation and work an intricate pattern in your life that you’ll sit there and wonder, “how in the world did that happen the way it did”?

Sometimes it’s hard to see things that way though.  A lot of times you don’t see how God was working until you’ve gone through whatever you’ve gone through.  When you’re going through, you don’t see what God is doing … at least most of the time.  Too many times, when going through something, I’ve asked God, what in the world are you doing?  Rarely would I get an answer.  Most of the time it’s, “trust me, you’ll see”.  And then when I do get on the other side, it becomes clear as to what God was doing.

That’s the hard part if you’re a detailed kind of person.  It’s hard to look at the big picture.  But sometimes instead of getting lost in the frustrating details of a tough situation, we have to sit back and look at the big picture.  What is God doing for me, big picture?  How does this benefit me?

Seek after God in ALL you do.  In the good times and in the bad God is working in your life.  Sometimes it’s easy to see, sometimes it’s hard.  God is good and he will work things for your good.  Hang in there!

“And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.” – Romans 8:28
